JOB DESCRIPTION

Your job will consist of carrying out studies and technical design on heating and ventilation projects for large industrial customers. The studies allow clients to identify greenhouse gas reduction projects which are then carried out and for which you will support clients during the project. You will also be trained to broaden your knowledge and work on mandates relating to process energy efficiency.

Permanent position at 37.5 hrs / week, flexible schedule.

 

Through a flexible and varied schedule, your future assignment will include the following responsibilities:

  • Visit industrial customers, discuss with them solutions to reduce the energy consumption of their systems
  • Calculations of mass and energy balances in Excel and, if necessary, on specialized software
  • Design and calculations relating to thermal systems in heating and ventilation, and processes: heat pumps, exchangers, cooling towers, pumps, industrial production equipment (e.g. pulp and paper, refineries, RTO.), Etc.
  • Assist the process integration team in energy efficient analyzes related to processes and services
  • Drafting of grant applications
  • Factory measurements
  • Technical writing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and registration on the Roll of the Order of Engineers of Quebec – Mechanical or chemical engineer profile
  • Good knowledge of technologies and suppliers for energy efficient systems in industrial heating and ventilation
  • Comfortable with new customers
  • Experience in an industrial environment or as a consultant for the industrial sector, an asset
  • Proficiency and interest in Excel calculations
  • Ability to read and understand process diagrams
  • Knowledge and interest in energy, green technologies, GHG reduction

The main workplace is in Sherbrooke, in our office with a view of the Lac des Nations. Occasional trips to the factory for surveys and meetings. Working in a sector of constant innovation, the sought-after candidate stood out for his interest and ease of learning.
