Job Description
Your job will consist of carrying out process integration studies for large industrial clients, from our office in Sherbrooke and in the factory. The studies allow customers to identify greenhouse gas reduction projects and to initiate an energy efficiency and water reduction strategy. You will also be called upon to do technological innovation analyzes.
Permanent position at 37.5 hrs / week, flexible schedule.
Through a flexible and varied schedule, your future assignment will include the following responsibilities:
- Mass and energy balance calculations
- Design and calculations relating to thermal systems: exchangers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, industrial production equipment, etc.
- Computer process simulations (Wingems, ChemCAD, Aspen, Excel)
- Factory measurements
- Measurement and verification of energy savings
- Technical writing
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and registration on the Roll of the Order of Engineers of Quebec – Mechanical or chemical engineer profile
- Experience with process simulation software
- Work experience in an industrial environment or as an industrial consultant, an asset
- Proficiency and interest in Excel calculations
- Interpretation of process diagrams, particularly pulp and paper, petrochemicals, distilleries, agrifood, etc.
- Knowledge and interest in energy, green technologies, GHG reduction
The main workplace is in Sherbrooke, in our office with a view of the Lac des Nations. Occasional trips to the factory for surveys and meetings. Working in a sector of constant innovation, the sought-after candidate stood out for his interest and ease of learning.
